January 2005 Congratulations to PiCK Students Robert Krebs, Brad Lightner, Brad Masenheimer & Paul Shin for their successful auditions for the 2005 District 7 Jazz Band

May 8th at 2 PM - 2004 Annual Spring Woodwind Recital

Students of Dave Wilson, woodwind teacher, will be performing selections of a classical music nature in an unaccompanied setting.      

The overall purpose of the recital is to provide students with the experience of thoroughly preparing a challenging musical selection and then playing it in a performance setting before an audience. There will be no judging or evaluation. The audience, made up of parents and family, is friendly! Our aim is to have fun while engaged in a concerted musical undertaking.

 

***Congratulations to Central York Middle School trumpeters  Matt McSherry, Kate Garvin, and Ben Hamme earned the top 3 section seats. Coincidentally, they are all playing Kanstul trumpets, and have been noted on the Kanstul News Page Oct 8th. Good work!

April 30, May 1 and May 2 2004 -  PREMIER PERFORMANCES of "Jazz Tributaries" by the Majestic Jazz Orchestra* at Gettysburg, Franklin & Marshall and Dickinson Colleges.  Axiom Asunder is a new composition in four episodes for jazz orchestra, dancers and narrator by composer Buzz Jones. Dr. Jones is Professor of Music and Music Department Chair at Gettysburg College.   * The BUZZ JONES BIG BAND & Guests

FALL 2005: Kanstul trumpet clinician Tim Wendt comes to PiCK Music.

November 15, 2003

Dallas/Fort Worth Trumpetfest: 
PiCK Music is co-sponsoring the DFW Trumpetfest to be held from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Preston Meadow Lutheran Church in Plano, Texas. Kanstul trumpets and flugelhorns will be well represented and available for audition and direct comparison to other brands. At 11 a.m., expert players will comparatively demonstrate the horns in a large sanctuary so that the listeners can hear for themselves how different and similar various horns sound to an audience.
