- BS in Music Education from Lebanon
Valley College
- Full time private instructor in York for
over 15 years. Serves as a recitalist, clinician and adjudicator for
various schools and events. Was adjunct instructor at Elizabethtown &
York Colleges for several years.
- As a freelance musician, PC performs
often and has been an active musician in Central PA for over 25 years.
She's had a diverse career performing
many styles and venues including symphony, opera, theater, brass quintets,
big band, concert bands, Latin bands, solo and chamber music, and back up
work for numerous famous "name" performers.
- In addition to weddings
and special ceremonies, PC currently performs with the
York Symphony
and the Lancaster British Brass Band,
and is a regular member of the
Dave
Stahl Sacred
Orchestra,
Buzz
Jones Big Band, Capital Brass and
Bill Hicks groups; 2nd Avenue Swing Riot, Big
Band Nostalgia, Bill Hicks Brass & Capital Heralds.

Grace Fellowship Worship Team since 1998.

Joint Veterans Council of York County since 1990.

Charles Schuman

- Music degrees from Ithaca College
and University of Illinois.
- For 31 years Mr. Schuman was an
elementary and middle school instrumental music teacher in York City School
District until his retirement in 1999. From 1978-1988 he also taught at York
College.
- Chuck is the assistant conductor and
first chair clarinet of the
Spring
Garden Band. He plays clarinet
in the York Symphony, and plays lead alto sax in the Bob Clay Orchestra and
the Spring Garden Dance Band.

- BS in Music Ed from Lebanon Valley
College
- Full time private instructor for over 14
years in the Lancaster and York areas. He teaches a variety of styles
including classical and jazz and rock. Dave is a capable teacher of all
woodwinds through the advanced levels with an emphasis on sax, clarinet and
flute. Some of his students have made district band. Some have also
gone on to pursue music as a career. Dave believes in working with students
at their own particular level and is excellent with beginners.
- He is an active professional musician,
working with several of his own bands as well as freelancing with others.

musical instruments with an emphasis on woodwinds and brass. He currently
resides in Lancaster with his wife, Lisa, and their two cats.

exceed their expectations for how well they can play.

teaching beginner, intermediate and advanced students, and accepts students

Rachel Kauffman

University & B.F.A. in Cello Performance from the State University of New
York at Purchase. In high school Rachel studied regularly in New York City
with Diane Chaplin (Colorado Quartet), and summers with Harvey Shapiro
(Juilliard) at the Johannesen International School of the Arts in Victoria,
B.C. Other private instructors include Stephen Geber (Principal
Cellist, Cleveland), Richard Weiss (Cleveland) and Anne Martindale-Williams
(Principal Cellist, Pittsburgh).

She has
performed as soloist with various orchestras, and participates in several
yearly summer events, including the Lancaster (OH) and Sunflower (Topeka,
KS) Music Festivals. Orchestral positions include Hong Kong Philharmonic,
Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra, and as Principal Cellist, the Canton (OH) and
Wheeling (WV) Symphony Orchestras. Currently Mrs. Kauffman is assistant
principal cellist with the
York
Symphony

Rachel is an
active performer as a member of
Cantabile. As
a freelance performer she is called by various chamber orchestras and has
had the unique opportunity of working with various artists, including
Luciano Pavarotti, Kenny Rogers, Pat Boone, and Mannheim Steamroller.

In addition to
teaching private lessons, Mrs. Kauffman is also an adjunct faculty member at
York College.
